Working and Treatment of Meloxicam – Mobic
MOBIC has no steroidal elements, and it stops inflammation and after getting approved by FDA in2000 is now available in America which is used for the relief of pain of cartilage loss due to arthritis and swelling of joints. Mobic have Prostaglandins chemicals which cause inflammation within joints, and this inflammation later cause the symptoms of arthritis, which are pain, swelling and tenderness.

While blocking of enzymes which makes prostaglandins is done by Meloxicam which also decrease the level of prostaglandins. This results into reducing the inflammation and other symptoms. But Meloxicam should not be given to urticaria and asthma patients. Some clinical trials of treating Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis with MOBIC, shows us that if the patient is given a normal dosage of 7.5 to 15 mg shows us improvement but high dose can cause serious side effects.

Another clinical trial was done on treating Pauciarticular and Polyarticular Course Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) with MOBIC. This test was done on a patient of 2 years of age which resulted in effective. Placebo-controlled study of 12-week on 1,184 patients with rheumatoid arthritis presented a report to FDA. Those individuals who have had bleeding problems with their kidneys and livers are not suitable for this drug’s usage.

The report shoes that patient had 7.5-15mg of MOBIC (meloxicam) tablets at the recommended dosage while other received 22mg. while the result was prominent among those who were taking 15mg. MOBIC also had some problem in getting approved by FDA, But its not recommended by FDA to have a dosage higher than 15mg. Asthma patients or who are allergic to aspirin and have rashes must not use Mobic, it can adversely affect the health. Doctor who is prescribing this medicine should know about all the information and drug reaction.
