MOBIC is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug which is generally
known as Non steroidal inflammation prevention drugs and has been
available to patients by the manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in the U.S. since June 2000 for the relief of
symptoms of the two types of arthritis including rheumatoid
arthritis and osteoarthritis. The approval of FDA which that MOBIC
can be use for the treatment of patients of arthritis. Rheumatoid
arthritis is a common type of arthritis which systemically affects
the entire body.
When the drug researchers determined that Mobic pill is effective,
than a clinical trial was started on different patient. When the
tests showed the effectiveness of this drug for arthritis and showed
its impact in reducing the toxicity, then Mobic asked for approval
from FDA. In Aug 2004, meloxicam (Mobic) received approval from the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for sale and use in the future
clinical treatment of osteoarthritis (OA).
Patients who have hypersensitivity towards meloxicam sand who are
allergic to aspirins or any other non-steroidal inflammation
prevention drugs should not take Meloxicam. FDA approval of MOBIC
was after the clinical trial of 22,500 patients in United States;
their results shows that its’ effective while many another countries
also reported the safety of Meloxicam. It is said by FDA that
patient should not take a higher dosage of 15mg but for best result
start with 7.5mg.
